The Girl Scouts of America and the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) have so much in common and make a great partnership. It’s easy to realize when you compare the missions of each organization, the ATA oaths and the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Let’s take a look:

The Girl Scout mission

To build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

The ATA mission

To make the world a better place by teaching core values of courtesy, loyalty, respect, perseverance, honor, integrity, and self-control one black belt at a time.

The Girl Scout Promise                        The ATA Spirit of Taekwondo

friendly and helpful,                                       by honoring my parents and instructors

considerate and caring,                                  practicing to the best of my abilities

courageous and strong, and                          and by having courtesy and respect

responsible for what I say and do,                for everyone I meet
