Customization. A lot of people like to customize their options. Shoes, sandwiches, cars, vacations – whatever you’re looking for a lot of businesses are able to customize a product or tailor the experience for you. ATA Martial Arts is no different.
Ask any black belt what they enjoy about martial arts and you’ll get many different answers. Some like to spar, break boards, and do weapons. Some like to help out lower ranks and help teach. Some like tournament competition.
Ask any black belt what part of their training has changed their lives the most and you’ll get a host of different answers. Some have improved their lives by getting in better shape. Some feel better about themselves as they walk alone somewhere because of their confidence and self-defense skills. Some have improved not only their lives, but through a ripple effect, the lives of their peers, friends, family, co-workers, and spouses through powerful life skills training.
My question to you is are you truly customizing your martial arts experience or are you just going through the motions of the day to day and letting a lot of these opportunities pass you by? Have you spoken with your child or asked yourself what you want to get out of your martial arts training and how to achieve it?
This Saturday marks a great opportunity to unlock the hidden competitor in your child. Possibly it may unleash a confident performer that you didn’t think you or your shy child could be. Martial arts can help you accomplish amazing things if you prepare correctly (the Tournament Camp is this week with drop in days available!) and take advantage of these opportunities as they arise.
Come and speak to any of our instructors about helping you find your niche in martial arts as you train to your black belt and beyond.
To touch upon the tournament once again, we will be closed this Saturday to go and support this regional event. We have 19 tournament warriors going to represent our school and are always on the lookout for more motivated individuals to join our tournament competition team. I will even offer those who go and compete at the tournament 2 class credits, because if you’re ready to compete than you will certainly be ready for belt promotions on August 12th and 13th. More information on the tournament can be found at ATA-Nj.com or ask any instructor.
